Risk factors for bladder cancers include age, use of tobacco, occupation, infections, drug therapy for other cancers, race, being male, family history and personal history.

Symptoms of bladder cancer include blood in the urine, pain during urination and frequent urination, or a feeling of needing to urinate without results.
